Gas Prices

Supposedly supply still exceeds demand. Yet gas prices are up. Here in MO the average price is $2.509/ gal. Last month it was $2.164/gal. (per GasBuddy.com) Yet all the stories I read say supply exceeds demand, that there are tankers full of oil doing figure eights in the ocean as they have no place to offload. Some of the price increase has been attributed to the dollar's lack of intrinsic value. I guess it does make sense to put your money in a tangible commodity. I think I like the conspriracy theorists viewpoint that prices are up because it is the "summer driving season" and just to show us they can raise them whenever they want.
