Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is dead. It is always a shame when a life ends early, whether the person is rich or poor, famous or an "everyday Joe".

Pastor Dick Bernal from San Jose sent me the following:
"Michael Jackson, dead at 50. The San Jose Mercury News headline read 'The King is Dead' .... No, Michael Jackson died, unfortunately, but the King of Kings is still on the throne. The headline should have read 'King of Pop meets King of KIngs' "

New Widget

Via BibleGateway.com, I have added a "verse of the day" widget. The only problem was that in order to make it fit, it is at the very bottom of the page. I may play around later and see if I can resize it, for now just scroll down. :-)

Gas Prices

Supposedly supply still exceeds demand. Yet gas prices are up. Here in MO the average price is $2.509/ gal. Last month it was $2.164/gal. (per GasBuddy.com) Yet all the stories I read say supply exceeds demand, that there are tankers full of oil doing figure eights in the ocean as they have no place to offload. Some of the price increase has been attributed to the dollar's lack of intrinsic value. I guess it does make sense to put your money in a tangible commodity. I think I like the conspriracy theorists viewpoint that prices are up because it is the "summer driving season" and just to show us they can raise them whenever they want.

I'm back

Hi Folks,
I am back. I haven't posted in almost 6 months, not that I have been so busy but I had been going through a rough time in my life. I have turned the corner and will get back into the swing of things and try to put up something interesting from time to time. :-)
